Nästa vecka kommer Kumi Now online att fokusera på mental hälsa i Palestina. Mental hälsa är en av den mest signifikanta hälsokrisen för palestinier. Flera rapporter och studier visar att hälften av Palestinas vuxna befolkning stämmer in på diagnosen depression och många palestinska barn lider av mental stress. Dessa problem av mental karaktär härstammar från den extrema utsattheten för våld, generationstrauma, fattigdom, rörelserestriktioner och annat. Sorgligt nog är posttraumtisk behandling begränsad medan traumat för palestinier pågår.
Herre Kristus, du förstår den mentala stress och kamp som många palestinier erfar och lider av. Sorgen och ångesten som du upplevde i Getsemane trädgård är problem upplevda i verkliga livet för palestinier. I ditt namn, vi ber om styrka, medlidande och helande för alla palestiner, som lider av mentala sjukdomar. Låt orsaken till mentalt lidande i Palestina ryckas upp av din helande rättvisa makt.

On September 27th, six people were killed in two shooting incidents in the lower part of the Galilee region. The victims were two brothers aged 14 and 17, a mother in her 40s with her 25-year-old son, a family relative in his 20s, and a man in his 50s. Several investigations have been made to see if the two shootings were related. A total of 188 Palestinians have been killed this year in Palestinian towns in Israel, compared to 80 last year.
Den 27 september dödades sex människor i två skjutningar i nedre Galileen . Offren var två bröder, en mor, 40 år, med hennes 25-åriga son, en släkting kring 20 år och femtioårig man. Flera undersökningar har gjorts för att se om de två skjutningarna har något samband. Totalt har 188 palestinier dödats i år i palestinska städer, att jämföra med 80 förra året.
• Divine Creator, we come before You shocked, saddened, and angry. We pray for the families mourning the loss of their loved ones in the recent shootings, may they be met with Your compassion and loving heart. We know that the Israeli police are systematically neglecting Palestinian towns in Israel so that they may be festered with internal violence. We call for Your intervention. Protect Your children and guide us towards a more secure and just future.

Gudomlige skapare, vi kommer inför dig, chockade, ledsna och arga. Vi ber för familjerna i deras sorg över sina älskade i de senaste skjutningarna. Möt dem med ditt förbarmande och kärleksfulla hjärta. Vi vet att den israeliska polisen systematiskt försummar palestinska städer i Israel, så att de blir smittade av internt våld. Vi ber om ditt ingripande. Skydda dina barn och led oss mot en mer säker och rättvis framtid.

On the 22nd of September, A Palestinian teenager, Abdullah Abu Hasan was shot and killed by the Israeli forces during a raid near the city of Jenin. On the 24th of September, two Palestinian young men, Asid Abu Ali, 21, and Abdulrahman Abu Daghash, 32, were killed during the Israeli raid of Nour Shams refugee camp.
Den 22 september sköts och dödades en palestinsk tonåring, Abdullah Abu Hasan, av de israeliska styrkorna under en räd nära staden Jenin. Den 24 september dödades två palestinska unga män Asid Abu Ali, 21 och Abdulrahman Abu Daghash, 32, under den israeliska räden mot flyktinglägret Nour Shams.
• God of the oppressed, every week we mourn the precious lives of young Palestinians. We are persistent in our prayers because You are a God who listens to our cries. Send Your Holy Spirit to comfort the families of the martyrs. May their blood cry out from the ground, bearing witness to the unjust reality in Palestine.

Gud, de förtrycktas Gud, varje vecka sörjer vi det värdefulla livet av unga palestiner. Vi fortsätter att be, eftersom du är den Gud som lyssnar till våra rop. Sänd din helige Ande till tröst för martyrernas familjer. Låt deras blod ropa från marken, som vittnesbörd om den orättvisa verkligheten i Palestina.
This advent, Friends of Sabeel North America is launching a campaign called “Preach Palestine”. The aim of the Preach Palestine campaign is to work for the dismantlement of oppression and segregation, in Palestine and beyond, through prayer, a study series, film screenings, and a fundraising event.
I advent kommer Friends of Sabeel i Nordamerika lansera en kampanj “Predika Palestina”. Syftet är att arbeta för en nedmontering av förtryck och segregation, i Palestina och vidare, genom bön, en serie studier, filmvisningar och insamlingar.
• God of power and might, we thank you for our friends’ work and solidarity. We pray that through the Preach Palestine campaign, solidarity will grow and translate into support for the Palestinian people and other oppressed communities around the world. May Your gospel of liberaion be proclaimed and celebrated.

On the 29th and the 30th of September, Sabeel Jerusalem
Sabeel Jerusalem höll, den 29-30 september, en ekumenisk workshop för bibelstudieledare, i Beit Sahour. I utbildningen deltog palestinska präster och bibelstudieexperter, som utrustade deltagarna med värdefulla verktyg för att leda bibelstudier.
• Emmanuel, You are the Word made flesh, the God who is with us. We pray that the Sabeel workshop will assist the participants as they proclaim the Word and illuminate the gospel of liberation. May we continue to liberate the Bible from theological heresies such as Christian Zionism and reflect on the Holy witness of the Bible to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Emmanuel, du är ordet som blev kött, Gud som är med oss. Vi ber att denna Sabeel-workshop kommer att hjälpa deltagarna så att de proklamerar Ordet och belyser evangeliets frigörande. Låt oss fortsätta att befria bibeln från teologiska kätterier så som kristen sionism och visa på det heliga vittnet i bibeln, vår Herre Jesus Krist

On the 22nd of September, Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly held in New York regarding the potential peace accord with Saudia Arabi and the alleged threat posed by Iran on Israel. During his speech Netanyahu completely ignored the existence of Palestine. Throughout Netanyahu’s stay in New York, thousands of people, amongst them many Jews, protested Netanyahu and advocated for a free Palestine.
Den 22 september, riktade sig Benjamin Nethanyahu tilll FNs generalfösamling i New York angående det potentiella fredsavtalet med Saudiarabien och det påstådda hotet från Iran mot Israel. Under detta tal ignorerade Netanyahu totalt Palestinas existens. Under hans vistelse i New York protesterade tusentals människor, bland dem många judar mot honom och förespråkade ett fritt Palestina.
• Resurrected Christ, the distortion of truth and attempts to erase Palestine were on full display in the UN General Assembly. Yet, the voices of truth and insertion of Palestine’s existence was seen outside the UN and on the streets. We come before you, asking for guidance to be wise as serpents and innocent like doves in our struggles to liberate Palestine and confront oppression.

Uppståndne Kristus, denna förvrängning av sanningen och försök att utplåna Palestina visades tydligt i FNs generalförsamling. Trots det fanns sanningens röster och påvisande av Palestinas existens utanför FN och på gatorna. Vi kommer inför dig och ber om ledning för att bli visa som ormar och oskyldiga likt duvor i vår kamp för att befria Palestina och konfrontera förtrycket.
