We pray for all the Christians in the Holy Land as Advent started
this week in many Christian traditions. This year Sabeel’s advent program
focuses On the “ Incarnation and Humanity ”. We pray that Advent will be a time
of preparation through quiet reflection and prayer.
We pray for the families of over 150 people killed and more than
300 injured in the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai - India. We also pray that
calm will quickly return in Nigeria after the current post-election violence
between Christians and Muslims.
We pray for the international conference that will take place in
Germany this week in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and where Sabeel will be represented. We
pray that the conference will produce fruitful discussion, ideas and commitment
to peace and justice in conflict areas around the world.
We pray for a just solution concerning the House of Contention in
Hebron that Israeli settlers have invaded. We pray that the Israeli government
will make the right decision to stop the forceful struggle of Israeli settlers
to illegally occupy buildings and homes in the Hebron area and else where in
the West Bank.
