Gracious and loving God, as the United
Nations starts its deliberations this week, and as the different
representatives put their cases before the international delegates, we pray
they will realize that it is time to break the chains of oppression binding the
Palestinian People. We pray that the international community will rise to its
responsibility and lift Palestine to its rightful place among the nations.
Lord, in your mercy…
Gracious and loving God, we pray for the
Sabeel events taking place this week. We pray for the Sabeel women from
Jerusalem retreating to Mt. Carmel and the Mt. of the Beatitudes to ponder
on your words. We pray for the Nazareth Sabeel Youth visit to Al Manar
Association for people with disabilities, and for the prayer service on the
occasion of the festival of The Holy Cross. May your Spirit be our guide and
teacher throughout these events. Lord, in your mercy...
Gracious and loving God, we thank you for
the three new staff members that have joined the Sabeel community this month.
We praise you for your continued provision of people to continue the ministry
of Sabeel year after year. Please bless Megan Giesecke, Mary Sahhar and Tania
Kuttab and make them passionate and effective in the work you have given them.
We lift up the work of Sabeel and pray for wisdom and vision at our upcoming
strategic planning meeting. Lord, in your mercy...
We join with the World Council of Churches
this week to intercede for Belarus, Moldavia, Russia and the Ukraine. Lord, in
your mercy...
