11/06/2015- English

Last week the CEO of a French telecom company spoke about cutting ties with an Israeli company which provides service to Jewish settlements in the West Bank—causing calls by Israeli officials to fight international boycott of any kind towards Israel.  God of justice, we pray that instead of preserving the status quo and defending its occupation practices, Israel will end its illegal occupation and settlement building on Palestinian land and abide by international law.  Lord in your mercy…
In the northwestern West Bank, Israel is rapidly building the illegal mega-settlement of Leshem and creating a line of territorial continuity that bisects the West Bank.  Lord, we pray that the international community takes actions against such unjust land grabs that not only isolate Palestinian villages but also threaten the two-state solution and ultimately, peace and justice in this region.  Lord in your mercy…
Gracious God, throughout difficulties and conflict, you remain faithful, including in the work of Sabeel and its staff. We ask for your blessing on our upcoming programs, including a discussion in Zababdeh with Anglican priest Ibrahim Nairouz and Palestinian youth about our book on non-violent resistance in Islam and Christianity.  Lord in your mercy…

We pray alongside the World Council of Churches for the countries of Angola and Mozambique.  Lord in your mercy…

This week a Palestinian prisoner in his 10th administrative detention and protesting through a hunger strike is in critical condition.  God of justice, please make your presence felt among the many Palestinian prisoners in administrative detention without charge or trial. Let their actions draw attention to the injustices committed by the Israeli government in order for us to enact change and seek a society which values all of its members equally. Lord in your mercy…
