We continue to pray for the people of Gaza and the surrounding areas
that endure fear amongst violence. As we continue to struggle for justice,
peace, and reconciliation we must keep lifting up the prophetic vision of a
world without violence.
We ask for God's blessings in our upcoming Open Forum program, where we
shall focus on the 60 years since the Nakba. This program helps to open up
discussion about political events from a biblical perspective, and what these
events mean for the people on a local
level.
We thank God for the people that came together for a time of prayer at
the Church of the Resurrection. A candlelight procession led the way, and ended
at the Franciscan Chapel where the service was held.
We pray for the delegation from the Methodist Church that is traveling
here this week. We pray that they, and all of the visitors to this land, will
be able to see and hear the stories and struggles of the people working in
these challenging times and that they will go home empowered to work for a just
peace for Palestinians and Israelis.
