Lord, Israel continues to collectively punish Palestinians living in East Jerusalem: restricting some Palestinians from praying at Al Aqsa Mosque, detaining dozens of Palestinian youth, and harassing the Palestinian community in general.   Although Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for calm and restraint from right-wing Israeli lawmakers and Jewish settler activists, they continue with their provocative visits to Al Aqsa and calls for extending Israeli sovereignty over the compound.  Lord in your mercy…

Last week young Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan announced that she is donating her full prize money ($50,000) from the World Children’s prize to help rebuild UNRWA schools in Gaza that were damaged by Israel’s recent military offensive. We are humbled by her commitment to raising awareness about the importance of quality education for children, saying that “without education, there will never be peace.” May others be moved by her generosity.  Lord in your mercy…

We give you thanks for the Swedish government’s recognition of the state of Palestine and for the senate vote in Ireland urging the Irish government to do the same.  Lord, we pray that other countries will also take this step in investing in peace and support the self-determination of the Palestinian people.  Lord in your mercy…

Lord, we welcome our new interim director, Rev. William Roberts, and are thankful for the energy, expertise and service he brings to the Sabeel family.  We also pray for the many programs and events this week: a youth event in Nabi Musa/Mar Saba, the launch of Sabeel and Al-liqa’ Centers’ book on non-violent resistance, and a community retreat in the depopulated village of Ein Karem.  Lord in your mercy…

主よ、イスラエルは国際法を犯し続け、そのために東エルサレムで騒乱が起きています。イスラエル政府は東エルサレムの二つの不法なユダヤ人入植地、ハルホマ、ラマトシュロモで1000軒の住宅を建設する計画を実施に移すことを発表しました。ここ数週間に、ユダヤ人入植者数家族が東エルサレムのシルワンに移り住みました。イスラエル当局は、パレスチナ人参拝者がアル＝アクサー・モスクに入ることを制限し続けています。神よ、この壊れた町に平穏な時を与えてください。この地に切に必要とされている政治的解決をお与えください。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

正義の神よ、西岸地区でイスラエル人が運営するバスにパレスチナ人が乗ることを禁止するとイスラエル政府が発表しました。不法に居住するユダヤ人入植者だけがバスに乗ることを許され、職場と家の行き来にバスを使っていた何百人ものパレスチナ人は他の交通手段を見つけなければなりません。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

今週西岸地区でまた一人のパレスチナ人の子どもが殺害されました。ラマラ近くのシルワドで、小競り合いの中、14歳の少年がイスラエル兵によって射殺されました。神よ、どうかパレスチナの子どもたちがこれ以上この抑圧的で不法な占領下で最も苦しまねばならないようなことがないようにしてください。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

主よ、ケンブリッジで近く開催されるサビールの友・北アメリカ（FOSNA）の会議「世代の破壊」を祝福してください。イスラエルによる占領が、いかにパレスチナの子どもたちに打撃を与え、イスラエルの社会に害を与えているかが話し合われます。会議に出席するすべての活動家たちのゆえにあなたに感謝します。彼らはパレスチナとイスラエルにおける平和と正義のために熱意を持って創造的に働いています。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

Seigneur, les violations par Israël du droit international sont toujours une cause de troubles à Jérusalem Est. Israël a anoncé qu’il allait mettre à exécution son projet de construction de plus de 1.000 logements à Har Homa et Ramat Shlomo, deux colonies juives illégales de Jérusalem Est. Au cours des dernières semaines plusieurs familles de colons juifs sont venues s’installer dans un immeuble du quartier de Silwan à Jérusalem Est et les autorités israéliennes continuent à contrôler et limiter l’accès des fidèles palestiniens à la mosquée Al Aqsa. Dieu, nous te prions d’accorder un temps de calme à cette ville brisée et à ce pays la solution politique dont elle a un besoin tellement urgent. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

Dieu de justice, nous sommes choqués de l’annonce par Israël que les bus des colons seront désormais interdits aux Palestiniens de Cisjordanie rentrant chez eux après leur travail en Israël. Désormais seuls les colons juifs illégaux de Cisjordanie seront admis à prendre ces bus, et des centaines de Palestiniens, des travailleurs pour la plupart, devront trouver d’autres moyens de transport.  Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

C’est encore un enfant palestinien qui a été tué cette semaine en Cisjordanie, cette fois dans le village de Siwad, près de Ramallah. Un garçon de 14 ans y a été tué par les forces israéliennes lors d’un affrontement. Dieu, nous te prions pour que les enfants palestiniens ne soient plus ceux qui souffrent le plus de l’oppression créée par cette occupation illégale du territoire palestinien. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

Seigneur, nous te prions de bénir la prochaine rencontre des Amis de Sabeel d’Amérique du Nord à Cambridge, avec pour thème “une génération brisée”, comment l’occupation israélienne abime les enfants palestiniens et blesse aussi la société israélienne. Nous te remercions pour tous les militants qui vont y participer et qui travaillent avec passion et de façon créative pour la paix et la justice en Palestine et en Israël. Lord, Israel’s violations of international law continue to provoke disturbances in East Jerusalem.  Israel announced that it will move ahead with plans for over 1,000 housing units in Har Homa and Ramat Shlomo, two illegal Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem. In recent weeks several Jewish settler families relocated to a building in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem, and Israeli authorities continue to control and limit access of Palestinian worshippers to Al Aqsa Mosque.  God, we pray for a time of calm in this broken city and an urgently needed political solution for this land.  Lord in your mercy… God of justice, we are disturbed by Israel’s announcement that Palestinians living in the West Bank will be banned from using Israeli-run buses in the West Bank when returning home from their jobs inside Israel. Now only illegal Jewish settlers living in the West Bank will be allowed to ride these buses, and hundreds of Palestinians, mostly laborers, will have to find alternative transportation. Lord in your mercy… Yet another Palestinian child was killed this week in the West Bank, this time in the village of Silwad, near Ramallah.  A 14-year-old boy was shot dead by Israeli forces during clashes there.  God, we pray that the Palestinian children will no longer have to suffer the most under this oppressive and illegal occupation of Palestinian land.  Lord in your mercy… Lord, we ask for your blessing on the upcoming Friends of Sabeel North America (FOSNA) conference in Cambridge, “Breaking a Generation,” about how the Israeli occupation damages Palestinian children and harms Israeli society. We thank you for all the activists who will attend who work creatively and passionately for peace and justice in Palestine and Israel. Lord in your mercy…

As Palestinian farming communities come together this month to harvest their olives, they face violence, threats and property damage from Jewish settlers in nearby illegal Jewish settlements.  What should be a joyous time of fellowship is also overshadowed byIsraeli authorities imposing restrictions on the farmers’ access to their land.  God, you have blessed us with the fruits of the earth; we pray that the farmers’ livelihoods will be protected and they will enjoy a plentiful harvest.  Lord in your mercy… We are saddened by the recent deaths of Palestinian children in the West Bank. A five-year-old girl died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run incident by a Jewish settler near Ramallah; the girl’s friend was also seriously injured.  Also, a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed by an Israeli soldierafter Israeli forces raided his village of BeitLiqya.  Lord, we pray for Palestinian children in the West Bank who lack protection under Israel’s oppressive and illegal occupation.  Lord in your mercy…
Lord, we pray for Sabeel’s youth program this week picking olivesin East Jerusalem near the separation barrier for an elderly home. We alsopray for our friends overseas: Friends of Sabeel Canada is holding a speaker series this week titled“Challenging Christian Zionism:Canadian Roots and Responses” inAbbotsford and Vancouver. God of healing, the world is mobilizing against the deadly Ebola virus. We pray that the spread of this terrible virus is stopped and that impoverished countries with weak public health infrastructures and limited resources can receive the help they desperately need that is also so long overdue.  Lord in your mercy…

オリーブの収穫作業の中で、パレスチナの農民が近隣の違法なユダヤ人入植地の住民から暴力や威嚇を受けたり、物的損害を受けたりしています。楽しい交わりの時であるはずなのに、農民が自分の土地に行くことをイスラエル当局が制限しているために暗い影がかかっています。神よ、あなたは大地の実りをもって私たちを祝福してくださいました。どうか農民の暮らしを守り、彼らが豊作を楽しむことができるようにしてください。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

西岸地区で起きたパレスチナの子どもたちの死のために、私たちは悲しんでいます。ラマラの近くで5歳の女の子がユダヤ人入植者による轢き逃げで亡くなりました。その友だちも重傷を負いました。ベイト・リキヤ村ではイスラエル軍による襲撃の中、13歳の男の子がイスラエル兵によって射殺されました。主よ、イスラエルの抑圧的で違法な占領のもとで保護を欠いている西岸地区のパレスチナ人の子どもたちのために祈ります。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

癒しを与える神よ、世界の人々がエボラ・ウィルスに立ち向かっています。どうかこの恐ろしいウィルスの拡散が止められ、公衆衛生の基盤が脆弱な貧しい国々が必要な援助を得ることができますように。これらの国々には限られた資源しかなく、とうに助けが与えられていてしかるべきなのです。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

主よ、今週、東エルサレムの分離壁の近くで老人ホームのためにオリーブ摘みを行うサビールの青年たちのために祈ります。また、諸外国の友人たちのために祈ります。サビールの友カナダは、今週「キリスト教シオニズムに異議を申し立てる – カナダにおける根と応答」と題した連続講演会をアボッツフォードとバンクーバーで開催します。主よ、御憐れみにより、私たちの祈りを聞き入れてください。

Alors que les communautés agricoles palestiniennes se rassemblent ce mois-ci pour la récolte des olives, leurs membres subissent violence, menaces et dégradations de leurs biens de la part de colons juifs des colonies juives illégales du voisinage. Ce qui devrait être un temps joyeux d’amitié est par ailleurs assombri par les restrictions que leur imposent les autorités israéliennes pour l’accès à leurs terres. Dieu, Tu nous as gratifié des fruits de la terre ; nous Te prions pour que les conditions de vie des agriculteurs soient protégées afin qu’ils puissent bénéficier d’une récolte abondante. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

Nous sommes dans la peine après les morts récentes d’enfants palestiniens en Cisjordanie. Une fillette de cinq ans est morte après avoir été blessée près de Ramallah par un chauffard, un colon juif qui a pris la fuite ; son amie a également été blessée sérieusement. Par ailleurs, un garçon de 13 ans a été tué par un soldat israélien lorsque les forces israéliennes ont effectué un raid dans son village de Beit Liqya. Seigneur, nous te prions pour les enfants palestiniens de Cisjordanie sans protection sous le régime illégal et oppressif de l’occupation israélienne. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

Dieu qui guérit, le monde se mobilise contre le virus mortel Ébola. Nous Te prions pour que la propagation de ce terrible virus soit arrêtée et pour que les pays pauvres disposant de faibles infrastructures de santé publique et de ressources limitées puissent recevoir l’aide dont ils ont désepérément besoin et qui se fait attendre depuis si longtemps. Seigneur, nous Te prions pour le progamme de Sabeel cette semaine pour les jeunes : la récolte des olives à Jérusalem Est pour un foyer de personnes âgées près de la barrière de séparation. Nous Te prions aussi pour nos amis lointains : Les Amis de Sabeel Canada qui tiennent cette semaine à Abbotsford et Vancouver des conférences sur le thème “Le défi du sionisme chrétien : racines canadiennes, comment réagir”.
