Barak Obama told Israel it cannot permanently occupy and settle on Palestinian land in a speech to the United Nations. John Kerry, in a closed meeting in New York, accused Israel of breaking its promises and warned the status quo is unsustainable.

·         Lord, Pontius Pilate knowing of your innocence sentenced you to death unjustly. Dear God, we suffer under military occupation by the powerful who know what is just but lack the will to act. We continue to pray for the people of conscience to keep exerting pressure on the rulers of this world to bow down to your will of justice. Lord in your mercy…

An Arabic film on bedouin women takes Israel’s top prize, en route to Oscars. Sand Storm, is the first all-Arabic language film to be Israel’s submission for the Oscar’s foreign film category. The film is a family drama set in the Bedouin community — a largely poor and marginalized Arab community inside the Israeli population.

·         Lord, you always lift up the humble and for this we follow you. We pray for all the voices that bring attention to your children who are on the margins. May the film open the eyes of the decision-makers in Israel to treat its citizens with respect and equality. Lord in your mercy…

The Sabeel office in Nazareth is organizing a theatrical play that focuses on Palestinian heritage and identity. The play aims to strengthen the Palestinian narrative and deepen our roots in the land. The play comes at a time the Israeli government is trying to redefine our own identity.

·         Lord, bless the work of Sabeel locally and internationally. We ask you to be with the young people on stage as they challenge the narrative of the Israeli state by being who they are. Lord in your mercy…

Sabeel continues to organize local Bible Study groups in the community to come together and reflect on the parables of Christ. This week, one participant shared the following “Reading the parables of Jesus through Palestinian eyes, makes Jesus relevant in my Palestinian life”.

·         Lord, your words are life and light. We give thanks to all the lay leaders who help organize the Bible Study groups and prepare the material. Accept our prayers as incense offered to you, and our upraised hands as an evening offering (Psalm 141). Lord in your mercy….

● Dans un discours aux Nations Unies, Barak Obama a dit à Israël qu’il ne peut pas occuper durablement le territoire palestinien et s’y installer. John Kerry, au cours d’une réunion privée à New York, a accusé Israël de trahir ses promesses et averti que le statu quo est intenable.

Seigneur, Ponce-Pilate, convaincu de Ton innocence, T’a condamné à mort injustement. Cher Dieu, nous souffrons sous occupation militaire par celui qui détient le pouvoir et qui sait ce qui est juste mais à qui manque la volonté d’agir. Nous continuons à Te prier pour que  les gens de conscience persévèrent à faire pression sur les dirigeants de ce monde pour qu’ils se soumettent à Ta volonté de justice. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

● Un film arabe sur les femmes bédouines a remporté le premier prix d’Israël, en vue des oscars. Tempête de Sable est le premier film en langue arabe proposé par Israël pour les Oscars dans la catégorie films étrangers. Le film présente un drame familial situé dans la communauté bédouine – une communauté très pauvre et marginalisée au sein de la population israélienne.

Seigneur, Tu relèves toujours le faible et nous Te suivons dans cette voie. Nous Te prions pour toutes les voix qui attirent l’attention sur Tes enfants qui sont en marge de la société. Puisse le film ouvrir les yeux des décideurs d’Israël afin qu’ils traitent les citoyens avec respect et de façon équitable. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

● Le bureau de Sabeel à Nazareth organise une représentation théâtrale consacrée à  l’identité et à l’héritage palestiniens. La pièce vise à conforter le récit palestinien et à approfondir nos racines dans le pays. Elle arrive à un moment ou le gouvernement israélien tente de redéfinir notre propre identité.

Seigneur, bénis le travail de Sabeel au plan local et au plan international. Nous Te prions de Te tenir aux côtés des jeunes acteurs alors qu’ils remettent en question le récit de l’État israélien en étant eux-mêmes. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

● Sabeel continue à organiser des groupes locaux d’études bibliques au sein de la communauté pour des réunions de réflexion sur les paraboles du Christ. Cette semaine l’un des participants a partagé ce témoignage : “La lecture des paraboles de Jésus avec des yeux palestiniens donne du sens à la présence de Jésus dans ma vie de Palestinien”.

Seigneur, Tes paroles sont vie et lumière. Nous Te remercions pour tous les dirigeants laïcs qui aident à organiser les groupes d’études bibliques et à en assurer la préparation matérielle. Accepte nos prières comme un encens qui T’est offert et nos mains levées comme une offrande du soir (Psaume 141). Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

Barak Obama sagte in einer Rede an die Vereinten Nationen, Israel kann nicht permanent palästinensisches Land besetzen und besiedeln. John Kerry  beschuldigte Israel in einer geschlossenen Besprechung in New York seine Versprechen zu brechen und warnte, dass der Status quo unhaltbar ist.

 

Herr, Pontius Pilatus verurteilte Dich zum Tod zu Unrecht, obwohl er von Deiner  Unschuld wusste. Lieber Gott, wir leiden unter der militärischen Besatzung. Die  Mächtigen wissen was ist, aber ihnen fehlt der Wille zu handeln. Wir beten darum, dass das Volk im Bewusstsein weiterhin den Druck auf die Herrscher dieser Welt ausübt, sich Deinem Willen der Gerechtigkeit zu beugen. Herr erbarme Dich.

 

Ein arabischer Film über  beduinische Frauen erhielt Israels  höchste Auszeichnung auf dem Weg zum Oscar. „Sandsturm“, ist der erste Film in arabischer Sprache, um eine israelische Vorlage ausländischer Filmkategorie, für den Oscar zu sein. Der Film ist ein Familiendrama in einer beduinischen Gemeinschaft – einer überwiegend armen und an den Rand gedrängten arabischen Gemeinschaft in der israelischen Bevölkerung.

 

Herr, Du erhebst die Demütigen und darum  folgen wir Dir. Wir beten für all die Stimmen, die Aufmerksamkeit auf Deine Kinder bringen, die an den  Rändern leben. Möge  der Film die Augen der Entscheidungsträger in Israel öffnen, damit sie ihre Bürger mit Achtung und Gleichheit behandeln. Herr erbarme Dich.

 

Das Sabeel Büro in Nazareth organisiert ein Theaterspiel, das sich auf das palästinensisches Erbe und Identität konzentriert. Das Stück hat zum Ziel, die Palästinenser Schilderung zu stärken und ihre Wurzeln im Land zu vertiefen. Das Stück kommt in einer Zeit, in der die israelische Regierung versucht, unsere Identität umzudefinieren.

 

Herr, segne die Arbeit von Sabeel am Ort und international. Wir bitten Dich, bei den jungen Leuten auf der Bühne zu sein, wenn sie die Schilderung des israelischen Staats  herausfordern,  so wie sie sind. Herr erbarme Dich.

 

Sabeel organisiert weiterhin lokale Bibelarbeitsgruppen um in der Gemeinschaft die Gleichnisse Jesu zu bedenken von. Diese Woche stand unter dem Thema: "Das Gleichnis Jesu mit palästinensischen Augen zu lesen, macht Jesus in meinem palästinensischen Leben wichtig".

 

Herr, Deine Worte sind Leben und Licht. Wir danken Dir  für alle ehrenamtlichen Leiter, die helfen die Bibelarbeitsgruppen zu organisieren und das Material vorbereiten. Nimm unsere Gebet, wie Weihrauch an und unsere erhobenen Hände als ein Abendopfer (Psalm 141,2).  Herr erbarme Dich.

# ベドウィンの女性についてのアラビア語の映画がイスラエル国で最優秀賞をとりました。この映画「砂嵐」は、オスカーの外国語映画部門にイスラエル国から出された最初のアラビア語の映画です。「砂嵐」は、イスラエル国に生きる人々の中でも特に貧しく周縁化されていてアラビア語を話す人々であるベドウィンの家族のドラマです。

主よ、あなたは常に身を低いところに置いている者を高くあげてくださいます。それゆえに、わたしたちはあなたに従います。社会の周縁で生きているあなたの子どもたちに注意を向けさせる、すべての代弁者のために祈ります。どうか映画「砂嵐」がイスラエル国の政策決定者たちの目を開き、彼らが市民を大切に平等に扱うようになりますように。

# 9月23日金曜日、サビールの友オランダは、「オスローを超えて、考え、行動する」と題して会議を開催します。会議は、パレスチナの不法な占領を終わらせるための提言と行動のために世界教会協議会のパレスチナ・イスラエル・エキュメニカルフォーラム（PIEF）が呼びかける「パレスチナとイスラエルのための世界平和週間」（9/18-24）に合わせて開催されます。

主よ、どうかこの会議を通して、より多くの人がパレスチナとイスラエルにおける正義に立つ平和を求めるようになりますように。また、この会議が、正義を追求して平和をつくる取り組みをしている人々に、必要なすべを与えるものとなりますように。世界中で占領を終わらせるために働いている人々の連帯に感謝します。

# 西岸地区最大の町ヘブロンが世界工芸都市に認定されました。パレスチナの町が世界工芸都市会議からこのタイトルを与えられたのは、これが初めてです。ヘブロンは、磁器、陶芸、ガラス細工、オリーブの木や皮を使った工芸作品など、様々な装飾品、工芸品の生産で知られています。

主よ、逆境にもかかわらず、優れた仕事を続けているヘブロンの人々の故に感謝を献げます。日々の糧を得るために、通勤のために通るイスラエル軍の検問所で毎日侮辱を受ける労働者たちのために祈ります。また、軍によって店を開けることを禁じられ、生計を立てられないでいる人々のために祈ります。

# 占領下パレスチナでは暴力が続いています。土曜日の夕方、6歳のパレスチナ人少女ラマ・ムーサがアル＝カデル村でイスラエル人入植者によって轢き殺されました。ファレス・カドゥールが女性客を乗せて運転していたところをイスラエル兵に射殺されました。女性客も怪我を負いました。イスラエル兵が撃ったのは、彼が無理にバス停に停車しようとしたからだということです。西岸地区ヘブロン近郊のベイト・ウラ村をイスラエル軍が襲撃して、モハメッド・アル＝サラヒンが射殺されました。サイード・アムロが東エルサレムの旧市街への入口であるダマスカス門で撃たれました。警察によると、ヨルダンのパスポートを持っていたサイードが、イスラエル兵をナイフで刺そうとしたということです。ヘブロン郊外テル・ルメイダの住民で25歳のハテム・アル＝シャルーディがイスラエル兵に射殺されました。ナイフで攻撃しようとしたということです。月曜日、ヘブロンのイブラヒミ・モスクの近くで、17歳のアミールと21歳のモハナド・アル＝ラジャビが射殺されました。国境警備兵を刺そうとしたということです。火曜日、ヘブロンの近くで、16歳のイサ・タライラがイスラエル兵に射殺されました。ナイフで刺そうとしたということです。

神よ、パレスチナとイスラエルの間のこの暴力の応酬を終わらせてください。世界の人々に力を与え、溢れる憎しみ、敵意、暴力に抗して、本物の平和を作る者とならせてください。不正義が支配するところで正義のために立たせ、絶望が君臨するところで希望のために立たせ、無関心で人々が沈黙しているところで愛のために立たせてください。

# 先週水曜日、スペインからガザに向かって、乗組員が全員女性の2艘の船が出発しました。9年間に及ぶイスラエルによるガザの封鎖を破るためです。「ガザへ行く女性たちの船」が出るのは4回目で、30人の女性活動家たちが乗っています。船は「ゼイトゥーナ（＝オリーブ）」号と「アマル（＝希望）」号とアラビア語で名付けられています。

主よ、ガリラヤ湖であなたの舟に乗った男の弟子たちは、嵐に遭い、あなたに助けを求めました。貧しい者に食糧を、裸の者に衣料を、病の者に薬を持っていくために、大胆にもガザに向かって船出した女の弟子たちのために祈ります。世界の人々の目を開くため、そして囚われ人たちを解放するために、自ら嵐の中に舟を進める彼女たちを、主よ、どうかあなたの手でお守りください。

On Friday September 23rd, Friends of Sabeel—Netherlands will hold a conference on the theme of “Thinking and acting beyond Oslo”. The conference comes in conjunction with the calling this week of The Palestine Israel Ecumenical Forum (PIEF) of the World Council of Churches, for a week of advocacy and action in support of an end to the illegal occupation of Palestine.

·         Lord, we pray that this conference will inspire more people to seek a just peace in Palestine and Israel. May the conference provide the necessary tools for peacemakers already committed to pursuing justice. We also give thanks for all the solidarity around the world working for an end to the occupation. Hebron, the largest city in the West Bank has been officially awarded the title of World Crafts City. This is the first time a Palestinian city has been granted the title by the World Crafts Council. Hebron is famous for its wide variety of industrial and ornamental products, including porcelain, pottery, glass, olive wood and leather.

·         Lord, we give thanks for the people of Hebron who despite all odds continue to prevail. We pray for the workers who are humiliated everyday at Israeli military checkpoints on their way to earn their daily bread. We also remember the shop keepers whose shops have been sealed by the army and who are unable to earn a living. Lord in your mercy…

Violence continues in the occupied Palestinian territory:
A six-year-old Palestinian girl, Lama Mousa, was run over and killed by an Israeli settler last Saturday evening in the village of al-Khader.
Fares Khadour while driving a car with a female passenger was shot by Israeli forces resulting in his death and injuring the female passenger. The shooting came after he allegedly rammed the car in a bus stop.
Israeli forces shot dead Mohamed al-Sarrahin during a military raid in the village of Beit Ula, in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.
Sayid Amro was shot at Damascus Gate – entrance to East Jerusalem’s Old City. Israeli police said Sayid, who was carrying a Jordanian ID, attempted to stab Israeli soldiers with a knife.
25-year-old Hatem al-Shaloudi, a resident of Tel Rumeida on the outskirts of Hebron was shot dead by the Israeli army after an alleged knife attack.
Seventeen year old Amir and twenty one year old Mohanad Al Rajabi, accused of attempting to stab Israeli border police in the West Bank, have been shot and killed on Monday near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron.

Sixteen year old Issa Tarairah, was shot and killed by the Israeli army Tuesday near Hebron after allegations of an attempted knife attack.

·         God, we pray for an end to this situation of violence and counter-violence between Palestine and Israel. Inspire the people of the world to be real peacemakers, in spite of all the hatred, enmity and violence around them. Let them stand for justice where injustice holds dominion, for hope where despair reigns, and for love where apathy keeps people silent. Lord in your mercy…

Two vessels with an all-female crew set sail last Wednesday from Spain to Gaza in an attempt to break the nine-year-old Israeli blockade. The “Women’s Boat to Gaza” is the fourth of its kind, captained entirely by women, with 30 female activists and high-ranking officials aboard the Arabic-named Zaytouna (“Olive”) and Amal (“hope”).

·         Lord, the male disciples on your boat cried out to you to save them from the storm at the sea of Galilee. We pray for the safety of the female disciples who are fearlessly sailing to Gaza to feed the hungry, cloth the naked and provide medicine for the sick. Protect them lord with your providence as they deliberately sail into the storm to give sight to a blind world and set the captives free. Lord in your mercy…

● Le vendredi 23 septembre, les Amis de Sabeel Pays Bas organisent une conférence sur le thème “Réflexion et action après Oslo”. La conférence rejoint l’appel cette semaine du Forum Œcuménique Palestine Israël (PIEF) du Conseil Œcuménique des Églises à une semaine de plaidoyer et d’action en faveur de la cessation de l’occupation illégale de la Palestine.

Seigneur, nous te prions pour que cette conférence incite davantage de gens à rechercher une paix juste en Palestine et Israël. Puisse la conférence fournir les outils nécessaires aux artisans de paix déjà engagés dans la poursuite de la justice. Nous Te remercions aussi pour toute la solidarité dans le monde entier en faveur de la fin de l’occupation. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

● Hébron, la plus grande ville de Cisjordanie s’est vue décerner officiellement le titre de Ville de l’Artisanat Mondial. C’est la première fois qu’une ville palestinienne se voit attribuer ce titre par le Conseil Mondial de l’Artisanat. Hébron est célèbre pour la grande diversité de sa production industrielle et décorative, dont la porcelaine, la poterie, le verre, le bois d’olivier et le cuir.

Seigneur, nous te remercions pour les gens de Hébron qui en dépit des difficultés continuent à s’affirmer. Nous Te prions pour les travailleurs qui sont humiliés tous les jours aux check-points militaires israéliens sur les trajets qu’ils effectuent pour gagner leur pain de chaque jour. Nous pensons aussi aux commerçants dont les boutiques ont été scellées par l’armée et qui ne peuvent plus gagner leur vie. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

● La violence continue dans les territoires palestiniens occupés :

-          Une fillette de six ans, Lama Mousa, a été écrasée et tuée par un colon israélien samedi soir dernier dans le village d’al-Khader.

-          Fares Khadour au volant de sa voiture et accompagné d’une passagère s’est fait tirer dessus par les forces israéliennes et a été tué tandis que sa passagère était blessée. Le tir est intervenu après qu’il ait soi-disant foncé avec la voiture dans un arrêt de bus.

-          Les forces israéliennes ont tiré sur Mohamed al-Sarrahin et l’ont tué lors d’un raid militaire dans le village de Beit Ula, dans le district de Hébron au sud de la Cisjordanie occupée.

-          Sayid Amro s’est fait tirer dessus à la Porte de Damas, à l’entrée de la vieille ville de Jérusalem Est. La police israélienne a dit que Sayid, détenteur de papiers d’identité jordaniens, avait tenté de frapper des soldats israéliens avec un couteau.

-          Hatem al-Shaloudi, 25 ans, un habitant de Tel Rumeida dans les faubourgs de Hébron, s’est fait tirer dessus et tuer à la suite d’une prétendue attaque au couteau.

-          Amir et Mohanad al-Rajabi, 17 et 21 ans, accusés d’avoir tenté de poignarder des policiers de la police des frontières, se sont fait tirer dessus et tuer lundi près de la Mosquée d’Abraham à Hébron.

-          Issa Taraira, 16 ans, s’est fait tirer dessus et tuer par l’armée israélienne mardi près de Hébron après soi-disant une attaque au couteau.

Ô Dieu, nous Te prions pour que prenne fin cette situation de violence et de contre-violence entre la Palestine et Israël. Incite les gens du monde à être de réels artisans de paix, malgré toute la haine, l’hostilité et la violence environnantes. Aide-les à prendre parti pour la justice là où domine l’injustice, pour l’espoir là où reigne le désespoir, et pour l’amour là où la passivité conduit les gens au silence. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.

● Deux bateaux avec des équipages entièrement féminins ont appareillé vendredi dernier d’Espagne pour Gaza pour tenter de forcer le blocus israélien de neuf ans. Les “Bateaux de femmes pour Gaza” sontt les quatrièmes du genre, commandés entièrement par des femmes, avec 30 militantes et personnalités de haut rang à bord des navires aux noms arabes de Zaytouna (“Olive”) et d’Amal (“Espoir”)

Seigneur, les disciples hommes sur ton bateau criaient vers toi pour que Tu les sauves de la tempête sur la Mer de Galilée. Nous Te prions pour la sécurité des disciples femmes qui naviguent courageusement vers Gaza pour nourrir les affamés, vêtir ceux qui sont nus, et fournir des remèdes aux malades. Accorde leur, Seigneur, la protection de Ta providence tandis qu’elles affrontent délibérément la tempête pour donner la vue à un monde aveugle et rendre la liberté aux captifs. Seigneur, dans Ta miséricorde, entends notre prière.
