Lord, there is so much pain and conflict across the Middle East. We pray
for the families who have fled their homes in fear. We lift up the refugees who
have escaped with only clothes on, leaving everything else behind. Lord we also
lift up the communities who have taken in refugees and displaced people, even
though they may be struggling themselves. We thank you for their generosity and
compassion towards those in distress.
Lord hear our prayer/and let our cry come unto you
Lord we pray for Your mercy and compassion, We live in troubled times,
and the answers to our problems are not simple or easy. Send Your Spirit upon
us to strengthen our resolve to root out the violence, hate, and fear in our
lives. Replace it with Your forbearance and love. We pray for an end to the
illegal Israeli military occupation of our lands. Create in us hearts of
courage, grace us with the ability to stand against the injustice and violence
of our day: the violence in ourselves, our homes, streets and communities.
Lord hear our prayer/and let our cry come unto you
Dear God we pray for those Christians who, although they are a tiny
minority, have courage to witness to the gospel and find the strength to live
according to God’s word. Those who in spite of danger give their lives to serve
others, who are peace-makers struggling to end hostility and violence. Let us
also pray for the Red Crescent and the International Red Cross, Doctors without
Borders, Amnesty International and all who work on behalf of political
prisoners and the dispossessed.
Lord hear our prayer/and let our cry come unto you
